How You Can Help

Crab Bank

Put food scraps and fishing line in garbage cans, not on the beach.

Stay out of dunes. Not all nesting areas are marked and dunes harbor sensitive wildlife species.

Crab Bank

Don’t walk through flocks of birds or approach individual birds too close to make them fly. They may be nesting or resting after a long migration.

Coastal Bird Sign

Stay out of posted areas. There may be nests or young in the roped off areas, even if you can’t see them.

Brown Pelican Crab Bank

Follow beach rules about pets. Birds see dogs as predators and their presence will cause them to alter their behavior and even abandon nests.

Crab Bank

Learn to identify and appreciate birds!
